1. WEEE Recycling & Take-Back Notice

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Policy

To protect our environment, Ivolt Ai is proud to comply with the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations.

Our Take-Back Scheme

When you purchase a new electrical or electronic item from us, we offer a free "like-for-like" take-back service for your old appliance. For example, if you buy a new laptop from us, you can return your old laptop to us to be safely recycled.

  • How to return your old item: You have 28 days from the purchase of your new item to return your old equipment to us. Please contact our support team at info@ivolt.com with your order number to arrange the return. Note: Customers are responsible for the postage costs of returning the old item to our UK facility.

  • Large Appliances: For large household appliances, please contact us prior to delivery so we can coordinate the compliant safe disposal of your old unit.

  • Why recycle? Unwanted electrical equipment is the UK's fastest-growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed-out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with this symbol) in your bin.

2. Customs & Duties Notice

Customs, Import Duties, and Local Taxes

  • Your Responsibility: As the buyer, you are the Importer of Record. You are fully responsible for paying any local import duties, customs fees, and local sales taxes (such as VAT or GST) levied by the destination country.

  • Clearance Delays: Customs policies vary widely from country to country. We are legally required to declare the accurate value and nature of the goods on commercial invoices. We cannot mark items as "gifts" or alter the declared value. Customs clearance procedures can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.

  • Refused Parcels: If you refuse to pay customs charges and the parcel is returned to us, we will deduct the original shipping cost, the return shipping cost, and any administrative fees charged by the courier from your final refund.

3. Lithium-Ion Battery & Dangerous Goods Notice

Shipping Restrictions on Electronics & Batteries

Due to international aviation and dangerous goods regulations (IATA), devices containing lithium-ion batteries (such as smartphones, laptops, and tablets) are subject to strict shipping restrictions.

  • We cannot ship electronics containing lithium batteries to PO Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or forwarding facilities.

  • Shipments containing these items may require specialized couriers, which can affect shipping times.

  • If your country restricts the import of certain electronics or lithium-ion batteries via air freight, we will notify you and refund your order immediately if we cannot secure a compliant shipping route.
